RECAP: International Day of Yoga

Wow! Time sure does fly when you're having fun during the summertime in sunny San Diego. Let's backtrack to June 19th when Pilgrimage of the Heart and Pura Vida yoga studios hosted a free yoga event at Balboa Park for International Day of Yoga in San Diego. A wonderfully diverse group of people with inner yogi and yogini hearts joined together to practice a community class taught by Xenia, Alexa Hatt, Courtney Yezzi (pictured below), Jamie Martin (pictured below).

19 specialty sessions took place afterwards and I attended Sydney Cohen's inversion workshop with a fellow Yoga/Barre instructor friend Brittany Harmon (pictured below). With safe and clear instruction Sydney guided students and teachers alike into arm balancing poses and handstands, which always leave me feeling strong, accomplished, and glowing with inner happiness radiating out.

Below are a few photos highlighting the collective energy from these amazing yogi and yoginis of all ages. More photos to come. If you'd like to stay updated on this photo collection, comment on the post below or email me at

If you missed this year's celebration, there is always space for you to enjoy your practice with other like-minded individuals and explore your choice and type of yoga.

Collab: Speckled Bliss x oojooverse

We recently collaborated with 0ojo0verse for a fun photoshoot in honor of International Day of Yoga. They have rad leggings and other apparel you can rock in your next yoga class, festival, or daily errand.

Their designs are consciously created to "enlighten and embrighten your lives with the lush colors and patterns this universe has to offer". And personally, I am excited to see all the latest designs they launch to creation.

Not only do they offer these magnificently-colored wearable art pieces, but they are also giving back to Soldiers' Angels to help the troops and veterans face the battles ahead.

Enjoy your leggings and stay blissed!

Til next time!

Saturday's Art Around Adams in Normal Heights was a great event!

For the first time, I was able to share a sneak peek into what Speckled Bliss is all about.
The mantra: Allow every speckle of happiness to fulfill your mind, body, and soul.
The medium: Illustrations and Plant-Based Experiments.

It was great to see friendly faces and meet people of all ages throughout San Diego come by to enjoy live music and performances as well as

I had my booth located inside PIlgrimage of the Heart Yoga Studio on Adams Ave. The light blue walls of the East Room with the wooden rope wall and floors added an organic and peaceful vibe for the whole day. See for yourself below!

We had healthy smoothies provided by GreenFix Organic Smoothie for those who were already familiar with the local San Diego farmers markets' staple and those who have never tried it before. First timers were pleasantly surprised that something so green and healthy was "actually pretty good!".

What a wonderful way to introduce these pH balancing organic goodness to kids and adults alike so they taste firsthand that healthy foods can absolutely be delicious! This plant-based experiment is deemed successful.

All in all, it was a great day and I wish nothing more than to share the benefits of taking control of your health and wellbeing!

It’s critical to have them
To help find your purpose in life.

To feed your mind.
To feed your soul.
To feed your ultimate well-being.

What would we be without them?
Stagnant. Complacent. Arrogant. Ignorant.

We need them.
To learn. To grow, like a plant.

Like a plant,
Our souls will wilt and wither away
If not given the proper nutrients.

So, I ask you, what are your goals?
What nutrients do you need?

To feed your mind,
To feed your soul,
To feed your ultimate well-being?

Meditation to Dedication

If you have a dream set in mind, please do yourself a favor and keep working towards that dream. One day, one week, one month at a time. At your own pace. At times of worry or discouragement, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Sit or stand up tall. With your mind's eye start to refocus your visions that slowly but surely turn into reality.

Feel better? Good.

Any time you make comparisons throughout the day--subconsciously or consciously--bring it back to the source. That means YOU!
What is it that you want in life? Where do you want to be? Who do you want to surround yourself with? When do you want to make that change? Why do you want to do what you want to do? And finally, how will you achieve this "dream"? Explore these questions within yourself so you can emit the right frequency, which then allows the synchronicity of life to present itself unto you one at a time. You'll find this occurring through the people you meet and the places you go.

It is then that your meditation becomes a dedication towards living your dreams.

Pretty cool, aint it?

If you found this tip to be helpful, let me know! I'd love to hear from you. Yes, YOU!
